Private Dinner by Mark & Denise

On January 23, 2019, twenty-four guest dined in the cozy neighborhood restaurant Bottega Berta in Zurich for a four-course dinner. It was a challenge and a first for Denise Weibel and myself, to cook for so many guests on a professional level. But with the help of restaurateur and hosts Chris Eckstein and Oliver Götz, we managed to serve a tasty menu. The reaction of the guests was very positive and encouraging.
The menu started with a variation of root vegetables, followed by a second dish with self-made Ravioli of roasted Mediterranean vegetable filling and a white wine saffron sauce. The main course was a Beef Ragout with oranges spiced with Raz el Hanout and served with a classic potato gratin. The dessert was a small cheesecake with pineapple and passionfruit sauce.
As a treat with the coffee, we offered Yi Xi chocolate pralines by our friend Bernard Chua.
